夢想將近 – 鹽水新視界

臺南鹽水,一座歷經了超乎400年歷史的舊城鎮,隨著年輕藝術家的返鄉而創辦了第一年的月津港燈節,透過藝術的型態,將更多文化元素帶入常民生活。逐步構起屬於鹽水的特色與驕傲。鹽水歷經過社會的動盪、文化的轉型、傳統信仰的建構、新希望的注入。讓世界看見鹽水,成了一顆被埋下的種子。

十多年來,數十組的海內外藝術家團隊,都曾忘返於這片月港,透過各種藝術型態的傳達對於月津港的一分敬意。在月光津影的河面上、樹張斜影的河畔邊,交會於此,共創出每年精采可期的年度燈節盛事。臺南鹽水,逐漸在世界打中開啟了新視界,走出了屬於自己的步調,像是豔陽般耀眼的夢想也逐步靠近。

新希望的花火,是鹽水的祈望。像是烏托邦的國度,訴說著那個和諧社會、與環境共生的夢想,使精神心靈得以棲息的場所,在歷史之中形塑出文化,刻畫出屬於鹽水的深度。時間的光流走過,月津港燈節的光芒也逐漸閃耀在世界,一年一年地超越讓燈節更具魅力、一步步地呈現出在地文化特色,月津港燈節成了鹽水驕傲的品牌。

不只是等待,而是期待,來到這個光影交錯,對於美好渴望的烏托邦。

那顆十年前曾經種下的種子,正逐漸在世界的新視界花海中盛開、繁茂與美麗。

創作理念|

天生我材必有用,

每個人其實都是打開這個世界可能性的一把鑰匙;每個人也都能開創自己命運的獨特齒痕,只要找到那扇夢想中的大門,就能發現新世界。

作品《彼端》轉化了鑰匙孔的意象。結合燈光,讓懸空而立的鑰匙孔裝置在環境的場景下,彷彿透露出另一端未知世界的光芒,創造出極具想像力的奇幻光景,也象徵鹽水邁向嶄新的視界。

鑰匙孔有許多的象徵,其寓意因人而異,亦取決於文化、經歷和情境;無論觀者意會的是哪一種,每個人內心的信念與想像力,都是一把開啟無限可能的鑰匙。而你,想開啓的是什麼呢? 

Design concept|

'All things in their being are good for something.'

Everyone holds the key to unlocking the possibilities of this world as well as opening up a unique niche in their destiny. If everyone finds the dream door, they can explore the new world.

The artwork "The Other Side" transforms the imagery of a keyhole with a combination of lighting. The suspended keyhole within the scene seems to unravel the brilliance of the other unknown world. It creates an incredibly imaginative and wonderful spectacle and shows a sign that Yanshui is heading toward a brand-new vision.

The keyhole carries numerous symbols and its distinctive significance from person to person; at the same time, it depends on cultures, experiences, and contexts. Whatever the viewer perceives, the beliefs and imagination in each mind serve as the key that unlocks unlimited possibilities. And you, what do you want to open up?

彼端 The Other Side

通過冷光線的巧妙運用,呈現出樹木的輪廓與線條,象徵著生命的流動與網絡。藝術家將大自然的元素轉化為作品的靈感,勾勒出神秘而迷人的圖像。這些冷光線所描繪的線條結合在一起,形成了一種類似血管的網絡,散發著微光,引導觀眾進入大自然的神奇世界。

 作品不僅僅是藝術的展示,更是一次對話。在欣賞時,感受到人類與自然之間的聯繫。冷光線所描繪的樹木線條彷彿是大自然的脈絡,將我們帶入自然的核心。《神隱的線條》所散發的微光,彷彿夜空的星星,讓人沉浸其中,思考著生命的奧秘。

 Design concept|

The artwork presents the contours of trees, which symbolise the flows and interconnectedness in life through the clever use of electroluminescent wire.

The artist gets inspired by transforming the natural elements, outlining enigmatic and captivating images. These contours depicted by EL-Wires interlace with each other to build a network resembling veins, shimmer streaming to guide viewers into the magic world of nature.

The artwork is not merely an art installation but also a conversation. While visitors appreciate it, they experience the connection between humanity and nature.
The EL-Wires depicts the tree lines as if the nature network brings us to the core.

“Eternal Streamlight”emits gleaming like the starry night that draws viewers intoxicated and contemplates the mystery of life.

《沙盒再造計劃》(月津版)探討人類與數位世界的依存關係。靈感源自「巴別塔」,象徵人類通過統一的電腦語言重建溝通與合作,從而推動科技進步和人工智慧的發展。在這個過程中,人類不斷嘗試打破實際與虛擬的界限,透過互動式展演呈現人與人工智慧的相互演進。

作品結合視覺藝術和聲音設計,創造出模糊了現實與數位世界的數位體驗。作品嘗試展現人類文明的發展和與科技的共存關係。是對科技進步的反思,也是對未來生活方式的探討。體驗過程像在沉浸式空間中逐層建造高塔,是對人類與科技交織命運的深度對話。

Design concept|

"The Sandcastle Rebuild Project" demonstrates the correlation between humanity and the digital world. Inspired by "Tower of Babel", the interactive performance symbolises the re-establishment of human communication and cooperation through a unified computer language. Hence, it advances technological progress and the development of artificial intelligence. Throughout the process, humanity ceaselessly attempts to break down the boundaries between actuality and virtuality and showcases the mutual evolution of human beings and artificial intelligence through this interactive performance.

 The artwork combines visual arts and sound design to create a convergence of digital experiences in between virtual reality. It attempts to show the development of human civilisation and its coexistence with technology. Not only does it serve as a reflection on technological advancements, but also a discussion on ways of the future lifestyle. The experiential journey resembles the layer-by-layer construction of a tower within an immersive space, and it fosters a profound conversation intertwined with the destinies of humanity and technology.

 

龍的鱗片 Dragon Scales

創作理念|

時逢龍年,本次藝術家製作與龍有關的主題。想像龍巨大而神秘的形象之後,覺得或許針對祂經過之後留下的獸跡來著手會是個有趣的角度,於是製作了浮在水上的龍鱗。讓它看起來像是曾經有龍不知道在什麼時候悄悄的經過了這裡。

鏡面隧道效果的燈箱是藝術家自2015年參加燈節時開始使用的慣用手法,也因為藝術家喜歡它那無限延伸的視覺效果,所以今年也將繼續沿用。

Design concept|

In the Year of the Dragon, the artist conceives the theme related to the dragon. After visualising the giant and mysterious image of the dragon, the artist turns the spotlight on an intriguing angle of the left-behind monster traces; thus, the floating scale bound is crafted to appear as if a dragon has stealthily gone through this area sometime.

The artist has skillfully adopted the Lightboxes with infinity tunnel effects since the 2015 Lantern Festival. This technique will also remain this year in light of its infinite visual performance from the artist's preference.

窗戶是空間的畫面,分隔內外,串連著兩者之間的邊界。站在窗前,眼前方的畫框捕捉真實世界的一部分,我們凝視著它時,感官僅限於視覺。現代語境中的Windows除了指窗戶,也是電腦作業系統的名稱。受到環境和數位界面的啟發,我將月津橋解構成逐漸變化的光簾,透過無數像素的微小點,重新塑造空間的深度,探索風中色彩的微妙變化。

 

Design concept|

Windows are the canvases of space, separating the inside from the outside and connecting the boundaries between them. As one stands before a window, the frame captures a slice of the real world, confining our senses to the visual realm. In the contemporary context, "Windows" extends beyond its literal meaning, also referring to a computer operating system. Inspired by the environment and digital interfaces, I deconstruct the Yuejin Bridge, transforming it into a series of light curtains that gradually shift. Through the countless pixels and tiny points, I reconstruct the depth of the space, exploring the subtle variations of color in the wind.

將對於月光的記憶擬態具現為幻想生物,從體內透出的錯落光斑去流動變化,作為能源媒介與之相互了解,同一時間,也能讓觀者與自身對話。破除邊際地將想像力發揮極致,創造屬於自己的世界空間,一起冒險、分享秘密、跳脫所有束縛!就像,每一年一會的慶典,我們相聚於相同的河岸邊,靜賞波光粼粼。看似遙遠又似靜置原點的時空,是否能透過一個輕敲的動作,喚醒專屬你我的記憶,輕觸純真的本心,穿越時間與空間,感受與體會,再次為人生蓄能!

Design concept|

The artwork utilises the memory of moonlight transmogrified into an imagined creature. Inside the monster, the artwork emanates from the flow changes of the speckled light. It serves as a medium of energy and fosters mutual understanding. Simultaneously, it also allows audiences to have a dialogue with themselves. The art pushes viewers to break free from all limitations and create the imagination to their utmost to world space together for adventurous exploration, secrets sharing, and liberation from all constraints! Just as the annual festival where we gather along the same riverside, we silently appreciate the shimmering waves. The spacetime appears distant yet a static time. What if we are awakened through a snap to recall exclusive memories of you and me, gently touch our purest hearts to experience and embrace through time and space? Once again, recharge our lives.

 

Nisikigoi  Koi Fish (錦鯉)

創作理念|

錦鯉是日本傳統的動物,不僅以其美麗的色彩與圖案聞名,也被稱為「游動的寶石」。此外,它們在水面上繪製出細膩的漣漪,畫面時而迷人,時而轉瞬即逝。這些形成的漣漪不斷變化、不斷演進。我們將這些漣漪聯想到了風景、人流、生活和瞬息萬變的時代潮流。同時,我們將漣漪不斷變化的樣貌視為新視界的可能與變遷的跡象。藉由本件作品,我們想要呈現身為日本人所描繪的美麗世界。最後,在新冠疫情生活限制緩解的三年後,我們非常期待能夠前往台灣,並與當地進行新的交流。

Design concept|

We propose this art project, "Koi Fish and interwoven ripples", as the theme.

Koi fish, renowned for its vibrant colours and patterns, is also called a traditional Japanese "Swimming Jewel." Furthermore, it draws delicate ripples on the surface of the water. The scenes are sometimes beautiful, and other times are ephemeral.

The ripples thus created are ever-changing and ever-evolving. We associate these ripples with landscapes, the crowd, their lives, and transformation for the zeitgeist. Meanwhile, we view the ever-shifting appearance of these ripples as a sign of possibilities in a new vision and changes in modern times. Through this artwork, we, as Japanese, aim to depict the beautiful world. Three years later, the life restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic were released. We are looking forward to heading for Taiwan and engaging in new exchanges in the local community.

 

內聚之光The Convergent Light

月津港灣百年來的流淌來來去去,曾經造就繁華的商港、積累出這一帶富饒的土壤,數不盡的波光映照著這片土地,港灣中的水流帶來了些回憶,也帶走了些記憶。作品《內聚之光》在水面上浮起微微的圓,如同表面張力水分子的連結,呈現一種內斂卻又蘊含飽滿能量的狀態,漫射的光波是無數的相遇與相別,無法言語的連結在此堆積出無窮無盡的能量。月津港的水繼續的流淌著,繼續串連著我們的故事,繼續陪伴著我們的生活,繼續帶領著我們的視野,創造新的視界。

 Design concept|

The current of Yuejin Harbor has been flowing back and forth for a century. Once, it brought about the prosperity of the commercial port, enriching the fertile soil in this area, and illuminating countless glimmers on the land. The harbor current brings memories back and takes them away again and again. "The Convergent Light", the slight circle arc floats on the water in the same as the water molecule connection of surface tension, demonstrating a status of restraint but full of energy. The diffused light signifies the countless encounters and farewell, the inexhaustible power accumulates through indescribable connections here. With the constantly flowing water of Yuejin Harbor, it carries over our connected stories, accompanying us, leading our vision, and creating a new sight of the land.
